The Rubester was a handy middle order batsman who specialised in Not Outs. Unlike Smitty however, he was able to smash the bat around and score runs without the thought of self preservation of his average. An interesting chap who had some very unique fetishes, unfortunately thought it best to further his education by attending Uni. He therefore was unable to play any more seasons. He would be very welcomed back into the Mainstream fold, but more likely as a source of fun and merriment rather than cricketing skill. The memory of Rubix doing donuts in the Cornwall carpark before crashing his car into a tree will forever live on
